About Rebel Flock Co

Every state has a bird. Every bird has a story.

Rebel Flock Co is a small print-on-demand apparel and merch brand built on a simple premise: every US state has an official state bird, and most of them are much better symbols of place than whatever bumper-sticker shorthand currently exists for that state. Our job is to give each one the wearable treatment it deserves.

We're starting with two:

  • The Rebel Loon — Minnesota's state bird, given a quietly unmistakable resistance treatment.
  • The Rebel Meadowlark — North Dakota's state bird, and the state bird of Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, and Wyoming, which means it speaks for the whole Plains-and-Mountain-West.

Plus a third pillar — Grass Roots — for cross-state designs that aren't tied to a specific bird, but are tied to people who'd rather wear a quiet symbol than yell into the void.

Where we're going

The full roadmap: all 50 states, one Rebel Bird at a time.

Some birds are shared across multiple states (the Western Meadowlark already covers six; the Northern Cardinal covers seven), so we'll launch by bird rather than by state — which means a single drop will sometimes light up half a region at once. We'll add new birds as the demand and the artwork catches up.

If you live in a state that isn't represented yet — Cardinal states (Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia), Mockingbird states (Texas, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas), Black-Capped Chickadee states (Maine, Massachusetts), Mountain Bluebird states (Idaho, Nevada), Goldfinch states (Iowa, New Jersey, Washington), and so on — sign up for the newsletter. We send a single short email when each new bird drops, and you can vote on which one we should tee up next.

What makes us different

  • Premium blanks. Oakley quarter-zips, Independent Trading hoodies, Port Authority microfleece — not basic Gildan-tier blanks. The shirt has to be as good as the design.
  • Multi-state by design. Most state-bird gear is single-state. We launch by bird, so one drop can serve everyone in that bird's territory.
  • Print-on-demand. Nothing sits in a warehouse, nothing ends up in a landfill, and we never run out. You order it, we make it, we ship it.
  • Designed in the Upper Midwest. Printed in the USA. We don't outsource the parts that matter.
  • Movement-aligned. A portion of profit supports grass-roots advocacy partners — quietly, without making it the whole brand identity.

Who runs this

We're a small Upper-Midwest team. We started Rebel Flock Co because we wanted to wear something that signaled where we're from and what we stand for without resorting to a bumper sticker — and we wanted every state to eventually get the same option.

We don't put names or faces on our brand. The work speaks for itself, and quiet protects the people doing the work. If you want to reach the team, info@rebelflockco.com is the door — a real person reads every message and replies within one business day.

What we promise

  • We will print and ship within 2–4 business days.
  • We will use a real DTF process that lasts 100+ washes, not iron-on cracking.
  • We will replace any misprint or defect within 14 days, no questions asked.
  • We will not flood your inbox. Newsletters maybe twice a month, and only when there's something real to say.
  • We will be transparent about where the money goes, including any donation breakdown.
  • We will never lecture you about politics. The designs do the talking; we just make them.
  • We will work toward all 50 states — and we'll let you tell us which bird should be next.
